Topping the sale at €7,600 was the first prizewinner and pre-sale Male Champion Liscarn Astrix from Philip Dunne, Bailieboro, Co. Cavan. A May 2005 born son of Ocean and out an imported dam Pouponne by Gabin he certainly had loads to offer. In addition to a good pedigree he had excellent BLUP Figures putting him in the top 1% of the breed for muscle. His show career was equally impressive winning Reserve Male Champion at the National Limousin show just a few weeks earlier. The purchaser of this bull was George McCague, Newry, Co. Down to join his Bridgeview Limousin Herd.
